Now days working 9 to 5 in a air-conditioned room
full of artificial light and glaring light from computer monitors is part of
most of the office personnel’s. therefore most of the people do complain on dry
eyes , eye tiredness ,issues with vision or uneasiness in the eyes . there are few tips which will help you in
better management of eyes in or off your office hours
Research your family history - Eye problems run in families, from short- and long-sightedness , astigmatism and glaucoma Knowledge of problems helps in better treatment in time.
Regular eye examinations- Eye exams don’t just pick up eye problems but sometimes they can uncover general health problems like high blood pressure and diabetes as well. Some potentially sight-threatening eye conditions like glaucoma.
Drink 4-5 liter of water – Drink good amount of water , it will allow your body to remain hydrated , which helps in maintains of right wetness of eyes.
Wash eyes 3-4 times in a day – Regular wash of eyes helps in removal of dust and natural cleaning and supports good health of eyes .
Take regular time out - Take 4-5 min time out from the work ,watch green grass or plants otherwise close eyes and allow then to relax.
Stop smoking - Smoking effects small blood vessels in eyes and increases
the risk of developing cataracts .
Wear sunglasses outside - Ultraviolet (UV)
light is a risk factor for cataract. Always wear Standard and rated sunglasses
to ensure that your sunglasses are doing what they should. UV coating can also
be added.
Wear
prescribed glasses – Always wear
glasses prescribed by doctor after a proper investigation.
Prescription lenses will help your eyes work more efficiently and comfortably
because every eye is different and one size or shape does not fit to all that
is why never use ready made glasses.
Eat healthy foods - Maintain a healthy balanced diet, including foods rich in
antioxidants. Also include Omega-3.
