"Don’t think there is a switch which will be activated and your body’s anatomy will change at 40” ,but yes at this age changes start making the difference and if ignored  have bad long term , so don’t wait for your  40th birthday and say , I'm going to change everything and going to live healthier, Instead, "the earlier they can start, the better."
Here are few tips to stay healthier when your are around 40 years of age .

 Cheek eyes sight   Around  40, vision start getting bad hence you need to get them eyes checked to :-
  • Avoid further damage and  to read all fine prints on various important documents .
  • Start wearing sun glasses .to save them from UV-A [and] UV-B protection.
  • A diet high in fruits and vegetables those are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
  • The leading cause of blindness in the elderly is a condition known as macular degeneration.


Start monitoring your health vitals
Age 40 is right time to look into your blood pressure, cholesterol level , blood sugar and body weight. Knowing these details will help you and your doctor to identify potentially hidden disease risk-factors. For example, people with higher blood pressure are at higher risk of heart disease, stroke and kidney failure.

Explore your family history
Family history is must as  your genetics can  increase your risks for diseases like cancer or heart disease. A calcium test can help to know whether your arteries have started hardening or not, or you need major lifestyle changes or medications.

Muscle up
It is said that 40 years of age and onwords , we lose approximately 1 percent of muscle mass per year. hence one should start
  • Weight-bearing exercises, along with cardiovascular exercise, this does not mean  gym, they can be some sort of resistance training.
  • To enhance reduced flexibility   yoga or Pilates are known to  improve flexibility, core strength, balance and range of motion.

Add more Fiber to your diet
The days of dieting are over as your metabolism slows around age 40, eating fewer calories may boost your  health but at the same time  ,one  should make sure intake of sufficient fiber ,lot of fruits vegetables and low-fat dairy and whole grains.

Stop smoking

Smoker, please it's high time to take this seriously and try to stop it by whichever way possible .Its not good  for your health quitting smoking  will decrease chance of heart attacks [to] heart disease, stroke, kidney failure ,lung cancer and lung disease.
