 The body’s immune system keeps fighting all type of infections keep body in good health. A food allergy is a proactive reaction by immune system to a food or a substance in a food, identifying it as a danger  to the body and triggering a protective response.

Diagnosing Food Allergies

A food allergy will appear when ever some trigger food is eaten. Symptoms can vary from person to person, and you may not always experience the same symptoms during every reaction.

Allergies tend to run in families, still ,  it is impossible to predict whether a child will inherit a parent’s food allergy or they will also have a similar reactive conditions. However prediction of allergy reaction is impossible in terms of time and how severe it will be next time , Hence all of us should be aware about the risk of anaphylaxis, a potentially fatal reaction that is treated with epinephrine injection  (adrenaline).

Common reactions  

Affect the skin
Affect the Respiratory tract
Affect the Gastrointestinal tract
Affect the Cardiovascular system.

While any food can cause an adverse reaction, eight types of food account for about 90 percent of all reactions:

·       Eggs
·       Milk
·       Peanuts
·       Tree nuts
·       Fish
·       Shellfish
·       Wheat
·       Soy
·       Certain seeds, including sesame and mustard seeds

To find out cause of allergy Dr’s cheek your medical history and your symptoms before and after the meal on
·       What and how much you ate
·       Time taken too ,to  symptoms to develop
·       How long they lasted.
·       Then carry out some test skin and blood test



Once a food allergy is diagnosed however it is quite a difficult task , the most effective treatment is to avoid those food.
